Terms of Service — CatchNumber

1. Introduction

Welcome to CatchNumber, a reverse phone lookup service. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services (the “Services”), including reverse phone lookups, credit packs, and every report we return.

By using our Services you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the platform.

2. Services Offered

We provide tools for phone number verification and identity discovery based on:

Reverse phone lookup — validity, carrier, line type, and region
Spam and scam tagging
Social and messaging account traces
VoIP and disposable number detection
A per-source breakdown of everywhere the number was checked

A free lookup returns whether a number is valid along with its carrier, line type, and region. A paid report adds owner records, linked accounts, and the full source breakdown.

These tools are for informational purposes only and are not suitable for legal, financial, hiring, tenant, or credit decisions.

3. Credits and Payment

CatchNumber is sold as one-time credit packs. There is no subscription, no trial that converts, and nothing renews automatically.

Standard — 3 credits for $3.95
Premium — 7 credits for $6.95

Current pack sizes and prices are always those shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. One credit is consumed each time a full report runs. Checkout is handled by our payment provider; card details never reach our servers. No account is required to buy or use credits.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Services for harassment, stalking, intimidation, or impersonation
Misuse data for unlawful purposes or any purpose regulated by the FCRA
Automate lookups, scrape the site, or circumvent rate limits
Resell, bulk-export, or republish lookup results
Share your credit code publicly

5. Fair Use Policy

Credits are meant for personal, fair-use searching. Excessive or programmatic use may result in suspension of a credit code or additional verification. We apply rate limits per IP address to protect the service.

6. Credit Codes

After checkout, your credit code is emailed to the address you used at checkout and stored in your browser so your credits are ready on your next visit. There is no account and no password.

Treat your credit code like a password — anyone holding it can spend the credits on it. We cannot restore credits spent by someone you shared a code with. Codes expire 30 days after purchase.

To have the data associated with your order deleted, contact us with your order number.

7. Data Disclaimer

We rely on public records, spam-reporting databases, OSINT sources, and licensed partners. Results may not be complete or current, and we do not guarantee accuracy.

We do not guarantee that a report will identify the owner of a number. A report that returns no matches still consumes a credit, because the search across our data sources was performed.

CatchNumber is not a consumer reporting agency and must not be used for:

Employment screening
Tenant approval
Insurance underwriting
Credit checks

8. Removal Requests

If your number appears in a report and you want it suppressed, email us at support@catchnumber.com from an address we can verify, or include a one-time code sent to the number. We will suppress it from our cached results.

Please note that we query third-party data sources at the time of each lookup rather than maintaining our own directory. Removing a number from the underlying public records and data brokers has to be requested from those sources directly; our suppression covers CatchNumber only.

9. Refunds and Cancellations

There is no subscription to cancel. An unused pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase; spent credits are not refundable, since the search has already been performed and paid for on our side. Full details are in our refund policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

The accuracy or completeness of any data
Decisions or outcomes based on lookup results
Service outages or interruptions

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the six months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms. As there is no subscription, you may stop using the Services at any time; unused credits remain subject to section 9.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Any changes will be posted to this page and reflected by the “Effective Date” above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. GDPR Notice (EU and UK Users)

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you are entitled to rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including:

The right to access your data
The right to correct inaccuracies
The right to delete your personal data
The right to restrict or object to processing
The right to data portability
The right to withdraw consent at any time

14. FCRA Compliance Statement (U.S. Users)

CatchNumber is not a consumer reporting agency and is not governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

You may not use our data or Services for:

Employment background checks
Tenant or housing applications
Creditworthiness or lending decisions
Insurance underwriting
Any other use covered under the FCRA

All data is provided for informational purposes only and is based on publicly available and licensed sources. By using CatchNumber, you agree not to use any data in violation of the FCRA.
